It is our honor to share how they support important Scottish heritage sites, bring recognition to forgotten heroes, and encourage visitors to explore lesser-known historical sites. We recently spoke to David, the founder of the group, to learn more. They have dedicated themselves to educate, protect, and support Scottish heritage. The Society of John De Graeme is named after the warrior who was the right hand of William Wallace. In the process, we determined that there is no better place to search for this knowledge than from those who work so tirelessly to protect it. In today’s blog, we highlight one particular group that can be viewed as one of the protectors of Scottish history: The Society of John De Graeme. It offers the chance to delve into history and look out – to feel and experience a world so foreign from our own. More importantly, it has become a vehicle to rise silenced voices that can no longer be heard, leading to greater exploration of literature, museums, and even social media groups that aim to educate modern viewers. We at Timeless Sass3 nach Journeys found that there is enjoyment in being able to learn more about the true facts that surround the books we cherish. Historical fiction is a genre that provides meaning and connection to the past.
